Modern Antiques: Carnelian Quatrefoil Pendant

Modern Antiques: Carnelian Quatrefoil Pendant
During the 1500s, the quatrefoil was the most common setting for gemstones, and still has a strong association with the Renaissance Era.
This quatrefoil pendant is set with a glowing orange-red carnelian cabochon and is fully handcrafted from recycled sterling silver. The pendant measures approximately 16mm (5/8 in.) tall not including the split ring.
Those who believe in the metaphysical qualities of natural stones see carnelian as a gem that enhances one’s zest for life and confidence. It is also one of the July birthstones.
